• Ale Trail Winner 2016

    Ale Trail 2016 … another FIRST for Faversham Food Festival: the “Ale Trail” … a great way to wander purposefully (!) through our lovely town. Almost 150 people bought the special commemorative glasses (collectors’ items, that’s for sure!) which came with a map showing all 12 entries for this year. It was fabulous to hear and see people strolling around town – locals and visitors alike – chatting, strolling and drinking amiably together.   • Sausage Trail 2016 – winner !

    What a great excuse for strolling around Faversham on (what turned out to be a) SUNday! – tasting, chattering and comparing notes with friends and family as well as with complete strangers – what food and drink is all about – especially these days when so few families dine together ! This year’s Sausage Trail was reduced to 4 entrants at rather late notice (and the tickets were reduced in price to reflect that !) … but nonetheless, we soldiered on with stiff upper lips … except when munching sausages, of course! So local butchers to enter in 2016 were: Baldy Butchers – winners of 2015 “People’s Choice”MBFarms – winners…
